Basic Training
Basic training course has to be followed by all apprentices after which different trades may be chosen according to the trainees aptitude and wishes.
Objectives:
Trainees learn bench fitting work during this period at the basic workshop. Physical exercises are conducted at the beginning of each day. This helps to build their discipline and motivation for work.
Basic training begins with introduction to safety, measuring, marking, and various hand tools.
Skills to operating hand tools are developed only by using such Instruments. Each trainee produces a vice which will take away as a souvenir at the end of the basic training.
All important tools are used and the trainee gets familiar with them.

Attitude of work:
In this first stage of training it is necessary to stress accuracy, punctuality, cleanliness of the work and the proper maintenance of tools, machines and instruments and prevent work accidents.
Theory:
Related theoretical instructions are conducted once a week in workshop science, workshop calculation and drawing.
Rotational training on following areas are included to basic training Programme
Theory
Theoretical lessons on workshop science, workshop calculation & technical drawing are conducted one day per week during the course. In addition English language classes are conducted for trainees.
